I wasn't particularly looking for red BUT because the holiday season is here and i've got a bunch of sewing to do-red is the staple- This red is RED it is VERY pretty and perfect in every way I use it-hand sewing and machine sewing. I would recommend this to the newest of sewers to the extremely skilled sewers I highly,highly recommend. Plus you have a cute wooden spool to purpose!
